A vacancy has arisen for a Receptionist/Office Assistant to work in the reception area of our Exeter Office. This is a full time role, working from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. Maternity cover 6-12 months.

The Role: 

  • The purpose of this role is to provide a high quality reception, busy switchboard and administrative service.
  • A friendly and professional client facing and telephone manner is essential.

You will also be responsible for co-ordinating bookings of meeting rooms, arranging in-house catering, client telephone enquiries, photocopying and general reception duties.  You must also be willing to assist others with administrative duties, including filing, post, photocopying, etc.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a focus on quality client care.  You will ideally be used to working in a busy and highly professional legal practice.

The position would suit someone who is highly organised, accurate, proactive and who is also approachable and flexible. Attention to detail is essential.

You should be used to dealing with a busy and varied workload with the ability to remain calm under pressure.  You will also need to be prepared to start at 7.45am on a rota basis to open and set up reception.
