The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, we are looking for a (senior) Project Manager to carry out the following tasks:-
* Manage a team of Project Managers (PMs), whilst actively involved in your own project(s) which range in size between GBP100k to GBP5m
* From a base near Southampton, manage sites across the UK, attending meetings and acting as the main point of contact between ourselves and the client
* Management of all aspects of project delivery from early construction phases to final account
* Building and maintaining the company's reputation for exemplary construction standards and post completion customer experience
* Ensure the PMs are performing well, on target for delivery and budget
* Providing regular reports on team performance, flagging up issues that may potentially affect completion and profitability
* Support PMs on technical and line management matters
* Ensuring resources for each project are available and arranging holiday cover as required
* Attendance at weekly management meetings
Experience, Skills and Qualifications required by the Project Manager:
* Successful background within the interiors, fit out and construction industry
* Technical and practical knowledge of construction methods, procurement and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong commercial track record
* Presentable, good communications (verbal and written) and comfortable customer facing
* Organised, methodical, high attention to detail
* Highly numerate and literate with very good IT skills (including MS Office)
*If you are a Quantity Surveyor with a Contracts Management background, or a Contract Manager with a Quantity Surveyor background, this role may suit
