Argyll and Bute Council wishes to appoint a Housing Development Officer to support the affordable housing development service delivery and the ongoing research required to meet the Council's statutory obligations to produce an evidence-based local housing strategy.
The primary focus of this post is to work with the council's strategy team and key partners in the development, implementation and monitoring of the Housing Need & Demand Assessment (HNDA), Local Housing Strategy (LHS) and the Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP).
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual with experience of strategic housing and planning functions in relation to affordable housing development ; and knowledge and skills in research and data handling. Experience of basic statistical analysis would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to key partners, including Registered Social Landlords, developers and community groups, in the delivery of affordable housing across Argyll and Bute.
The location for the post is in Dunoon.
This is a full-time post, 35 hours per week worked Monday to Friday (9am-5pm) etc etc
