We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to work within the information technology team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the IT infrastructure are well managed, maintained and fit for purpose.

Proactive in your approach, you will support the implementation of technologies and platforms and supporting corporate voice and data networks. Ensuring high availability of corporate voice and data systems that support internal employee business functions you will also aid external customer contact.

Providing innovative technical expertise and knowledge of virtual infrastructures, cloud technologies and desktop systems. You will also install, configure and manage virtual server and desktop infrastructures. This will include VMWare HA and SRM systems, SAN storage, Office 365 and LAN and WAN infrastructures where you will provide performance monitoring and remedial actions where necessary.

The successful candidate must have in-depth experience of managing and maintaining server systems along with desktop support in a Windows environment. Knowledge of networking and troubleshooting is also essential. Further to this you will also have the ability to provide 2nd and 3rd line support to the IT Service Desk.

The ability to organise your own workload, including setting priorities and meeting deadlines and service standards is required.

This post will be based at the Group’s Head Office. There will be a requirement to travel to other of the Group’s premises to undertake duties of this post and attend meetings and training. A car and current driving licence will therefore be required and insurance for business use (mileage will be reimbursed at the prevailing rate.)

This role will involve travel; therefore a full UK driving license is essential. Due to the nature of the role you will be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business.
