Manufacturing printed aluminium cans and can ends across 20 plants in 15 European countries, their innovative approaches allows them to offer a diverse portfolio of products and added value finishes, special effects and graphics. Their vision is to make the can the most sustainable package in the beverage supply chain.
As a Regional Ambassador supporting 5 plants - Wakefield and Milton Keynes in the UK, plus Denmark, Sweden and Finland, this high profile role carries responsibility for translating Ball Beverage Packaging Europe’s overall Manufacturing and Lean Enterprise Strategy into a regional Hub deployment plan. With an already strong Lean Six Sigma culture, (Shingo & Zero loss, TPM, Hoshin, Kaizen etc.), your brief will be to manage and continually drive the regional Economic Value Added (EVA) program and coordinate with leadership team to identify and prioritise targeted areas of waste reduction and improvement projects across the region. With 80% of your time being spent within the plants, you will engage, facilitate, train and guide plant Leadership Teams by facilitating value stream mapping, business process re-design, kaizen, continuous improvement, lean thinking, cycle time reduction, etc. to simplify and perfect targeted areas for Value Capture.
Ideally educated to Degree level in a technical discipline, candidates must be Six Sigma Black Belt certified with a proven track record in CI leadership, gained in a progressive, fast moving, packaging/manufacturing environment. Experience will be supported by a strong Lean toolbox (theoretical and practical) and demonstrable success in delivering improvements across all business areas.
This position offers outstanding opportunities to progress within a multi-national organisation, particularly into Plant Management roles.
