My Coalville based local authority client are looking for an experienced Exchequer Services Assistant to join their team on a full time but temporary basis working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm from as soon as possible until 24th May (unless extended), paying GBP8.90 per hour.
The role requires previous experience in a similar financial role and will involve the analysis and preparation of data from bank accounts and other sources relating to payments inwards. Entering information on systems and associated reconciliations.
Duties will include:
* Ensuring that all income received is correctly allocated and reconciled
* Assisting with the monthly reconciliation of the main bank accounts, payroll, creditors, miscellaneous income, sundry debtors and sub contractors tax control accounts, as well as staff car loan and leasing schemes
* Providing support in answering all queries
* Providing support in the processing and administration of sundry debtors
* Providing support in the processing and administration of the e-purchasing system
* Assisting with the preparation and input of monthly payroll data
In order to be considered for the role you must:
* Have around 2 years' experience in a payments/income/administration office environment
* Ideally have experience of allocating and reconciling large volumes of income
* Ideally have experience in the use of financial systems
* Ideally have experience of effective accounting reconciliation
* Ideally have experience of paying suppliers
* Be an excellent communicator
* Be organised and methodical
