Temporary HR Advisor
Our client in Egham are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to complete a temporary project. This role will start immediately and will continue until the end of 2019.
The post holder will be part of a Human Resources project team tasked with introducing a casual worker Talent Bank for students and non-students to act as a recruitment agency for the business.
The post holder will work as part of the Talent Bank project to apply their human resources expertise and employment law knowledge to feed into the design, delivery and implementation of an effective casual worker Talent Bank. The post holder will need to facilitate and ensure deliverables are documented, legally compliant and follow good practice.
Policy and process development
* Under the direction of your manager and Human Resources colleagues, define casual workforce
* To produce terms and conditions documents and policies and procedures for the recruitment and management of casual workers in the company as directed, with advice and guidance of your managers and Human Resources colleagues as appropriate
* As directed by manager and demands of the role to engage with all relevant stakeholders to feed into the design and build of fit for purpose policies and processes
* As directed to work with the systems provider to input into the design and build of the system to meet the company needs and ensure relevant documentation
* To feed into system design to meet all legislative and good practice requirements i.e. UKVI and Vetting and Barring
Documentation
To undertake as directed the design, production and delivery of documentation. Work may include
*
* Detailed, user friendly work instructions
* Design documents
* Process maps
* Reports for a range of committees and purposes
* Design and implementation of communication plans
Stakeholder engagement
* To develop and maintain effective professional relationships and input into the design and delivery of regular communications with a wide range of stakeholders
* Working with the Human Resources Manager and other colleagues to facilitate and take ownership of delivery of events as directed on behalf of the project, including workshops and user acceptance testing
* To participate in and develop networks to facilitate project delivery
* To help provide development and training as applicable to Human Resources users and stakeholders
Systems
* To build and maintain effective working relationships with the systems provider to facilitate the development and implementation of effective system functionality
* With the support of the Human Resources systems team, conduct data cleansing of casual worker data and migrate casual worker data to the Talent Bank.
* To undertake user acceptance testing as directed, ensuring accurate recording and maintenance of scripts
The successful candidate will have:
* Educated to first degree level or equivalent
* CIPD qualified to level 5
* APM/PRINCE 2 Foundation level
* Knowledge and understanding of the higher education sector.
* Strong working knowledge of key employment legislation
