Learning & Development Manager Location: Twigworth, Gloucestershire
Salary: Up to GBP60K dependent upon experience
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
We're currently looking for an experienced Learning and Development Manager based out of Twigworth, Gloucestershire where our Central Office provides support, leadership and governance to our multiple sites across the UK.
The Role:
It's an exciting time at Aurora as we are rapidly expanding our services and quickly growing in size.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership in each of our sites and Central HR Colleagues; your role will be to create an effective L&D strategy and personally deliver a wide range of L&D programmes across the UK which enable the people who work for us to be the best they can be in their current roles and identify and nurture talent to prepare those who wish to progress to succeed in their next roles.
Among a number of initiatives; you will take responsibility for monitoring and improving all our statutory/mandatory training across the group; defining and delivering a management development programme and maximising our apprenticeship scheme.
Whilst responsible for defining the strategy; this will be a very hands-on, delivery focused role; but as the business grows; the expectations is that you will build a team to ensure the L&D offering is appropriately resourced across the group.
This would be a great position for an experienced L&D Manager who enjoys a wide ranging role and the freedom to shape and build an effective L&D provision.
Experience:
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
  • Previous experience as an L&D Manager
  • Experience of developing and delivering group and individual training
  • Knowledge of apprentice schemes and associated Government funding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident presenter and public speaker
  • Excellent relationship management skills across a range of stakeholders at varying levels both internal and external
  • Whilst the role is based in Twigworth (with home working), candidates will need the ability to travel regularly to sites across the UK which may require overnight stays)
