Salary range: £17,822 - £19,164 + benefits + overtime

Holidays:  Year 1 is 33 days, rising to 38 after 5 years

Role Summary – Residential Support Workers

Here at Seashell Trust we provide care and education for children and young people (up to 25 years old) with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairment and communication disorders and autism.

• We are recruiting for talented Residential Support Workers for our children’s homes
• These active roles will involve providing daily care and support for our children and young people including personal care needs, mobility, daily routine support, communication, independent living skills, learning and leisure activities
• These roles will work in our fantastic, state of the art 2 and 4 bedroom homes supporting our children at our single site in Cheadle Hulme near Manchester airport
• Some challenging behaviours may present, so candidates should be comfortable working in this type of environment
• These are full time permanent roles (part time hours also available) for Residential Support/Care Workers

Requirements

• Experience working in a care setting supporting children/people with complex learning disabilities and communication, behavioural and sensory impairments or in a mental health setting is preferred
• QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or similar) is preferred but not essential – successful applicants who are not qualified will be required to commit to completing the qualification supported by Seashell Trust

The hours

• Flexibility over 7 days is required (37.5 hours per week)
• The roles operate on a rotating shift pattern
• The roles will work every other weekend
• We also have part time hours for evenings (3-10pm) and these roles will also involve working every other weekend (21 hours per week minimum)
