Job Title: Sales Engineer
Reporting to: Sales Manager
Summary:
The primary role of the Sales Engineer is to sell a defined range of products to OEM's, distributors and strategic end users. This is mainly through direct visits to customers backed up with telephone canvassing and written communication.
Responsibilities:
* To make a defined number of well targeted and followed up sales calls within their own geographical area.
* To support their customers using appropriate communication channels (letter, telephone, email, FAX etc.)
* To answer technical queries for their own customers and those of their colleagues
* To attend training courses either in house or at suppliers premises, sometimes involving overseas visits and/or weekends.
* To enter customer orders onto SAP ERP
* To produce budgets for their area on an annual basis and monitor these budgets through the year.
* Enter information onto and maintain their customer database on our CRM system (currently SAP CRM). This involves entering new customers and keeping up to date all relevant information for each customer, including project status.
* Keep an up to date customer platform document in order to prioritise activities and projects.
Requirements:
* Candidates must have previous Sales or Engineering background i.e. Service Engineer or Electrical Engineer
* Must have Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronic back ground
* Must be commutable to Leicester
* 2-3 days travelling week
