We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our team on a full time, fixed term contract for 18 months. This is a homebased position.

About the Project Coordinator role:
As part of the Scouts Growth and Inclusion strategies this role will be essential to leading the role out of pilot growth model into the west midlands.
The role will manage, support and co-ordinate the delivery of the Pears Project in the Birmingham area leading a team of Development assistants to deliver the project objectives working in partnership with Regional, County and District Commissioners, Project Working Group and funder to realise agreed sustainable growth targets.
What will you be doing as a Project Coordinator?
- Ensure the Pears project delivers on the aims and objectives of the project.
- Work in partnership with the relevant AGDM to ensure the co-ordination of the Pears project in line with other RST projects taking place in the Region.
- Support the Project Steering Group to plan, monitor and evaluate projects ensuring that learnings are captured for wider dissemination.
- In partnership with Regional, County and District Commissioners (as appropriate) identify areas where there is the opportunity for the creation of sustainable new/increased provision to form a work bank and work to produce and support the implementation of project/initiatives to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Recruit, select and appoint DTA in accordance with the needs of the project
- Support and mentor each DTA to ensure performance and delivery on their agreed aims, objectives and targets, monitoring and evaluating their performance and delivery of results.
- Provide effective management of the DTAs, monitoring and evaluating their performance and delivery of results
- Enable and support local Scouting to devise, apply and refresh focused, sustainable growth plans in existing and new provision (in line with the Association's agreed Growth Strategy and using the agreed workbank model)
- Initiate, manage and deliver an effective system of reporting on projects which meets the needs of the Association, Counties and Regions, as well as the Project Working Group and external funder as necessary.
- Plan and lead stakeholder meetings prior to starting the new projects to ensure ownership, identify potential barriers and agree project task allocations
- Work together with the PSG, DTAs and local volunteer teams to ensure problems and challenges are identified early and effective measures put in place to overcome them in the pursuit in achieving desired outcomes.

What we are looking for in our Project Coordinator:
An enthusiastic and motivated individual that can lead a team of part time staff to deliver a challenging change project objectives in a new area, you must be able to work with adults and young people from all backgrounds and communities.
An understanding of most, if not all of the following: Volunteer organisations, deprived communities, minority ethnic communities, schools, local authority youth and community service
Possess high level of relationship skills to ensure effective relationships with a wide range of people from young people, to Chief, Regional, County and District Commissioners to internal and external funders, leaders of faith communities, head teachers and external bodies.
