Laser Operator

JK Design & Manufacture is a leading sheet metal fabrication business based in Nottingham.  We are currently recruiting to fill a vacancy for a laser operator at our factory in Colwick.  The company celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and we have been manufacturing from this site for 19 years (including previous ownership).  

The suitable candidate will come from a laser/fabrication background and be proficient in the use of laser cutting machines.  Whilst knowledge of a Trumpf machine is preferred, consideration will be given to those candidates who have experience of Amada or Bystronic models.  Alongside this, we require the candidate to have materials handling experience, including offloading raw material deliveries and loading finished goods for despatch.  It is therefore preferably that the candidate has a current and valid fork lift licence. 

Experience in the use of Trumpf punching machines is a distinct advantage and ideally the candidate is able to read engineering drawings.  

We are seeking a candidate that is focused, committed and hard working and able to work well within a small team.  Flexibility is key and the candidate must be willing to use other machinery as and when the business requires it.
