Founded in 1884, Bangor University has built up a long tradition of academic excellence and outstanding student experience. There are currently around 11,000 students at the University with teaching staff spread across fourteen Academic Schools. Bangor is ranked in the Top 10 Universities for Student Satisfaction and in the top 40 in the UK for research. An ongoing investment in facilities is further enhancing the Bangor Student Experience with recent developments including the Pontio Arts and Innovation Centre, the St Mary’s Student Village and the redevelopment of the University’s sports facilities at Canolfan Brailsford.

Recognising the significance of high-quality facilities to support research, teaching and student experience, we are have recently embarked on a period of capital investment, transformation and improvement of our estates and facilities, through the roll out of a new strategic vision.

We are now seeking an outstanding individual for the role of Director of Property and Campus Services to take ownership of the University’s Estates, Facilities Management and related services. Reporting to the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Students), you will be a member of the University’s Senior Management Team, driving forward the development and implementation of a new Estates Strategy to provide the University with the highest quality environment and innovative use of its physical resources. You will lead a large multi-disciplinary team through a period of major change to ensure that the University’s estate is fit for purpose and that excellent facility services are provided. You will also take ownership of planning for the long-term furture of the built environment and support the University in continuing to make a very positive contribution to the economy of the region.

We are looking for an exceptional leader with a proven record of initiating, developing and delivering estates, facilities and commercial strategies for a complex organisation with a large, mixed use property portfolio. You will have a significant experience of delivering major construction projects and capital programmes, and excellent contract and programme management skills. You will have a track record of successfully inspiring and leading large teams, sharing a vision and taking people with you during a period of significant change. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, political acumen, and an ability to influence a wide range of senior stakeholders. Experience within Higher Education is not essential but an understanding of the environment that universities operate in would be helpful.

Byddwch yn arwain tîm amlddisgyblaethol mawr trwy gyfnod o newid mawr i sicrhau bod ystâd y Brifysgol yn addas at y diben a bod gwasanaethau cyfleuster rhagorol yn cael eu darparu. Byddwch hefyd yn cymryd perchnogaeth dros gynllunio ar gyfer ffyniant hirdymor yr amgylchedd adeiledig ac yn cefnogi'r Brifysgol i barhau i wneud cyfraniad cadarnhaol iawn i economi'r rhanbarth.

Rydym yn chwilio am arweinydd rhagorol sydd â record gadarn o ddechrau, datblygu a darparu strategaethau ystadau, cyfleusterau a masnachol ar gyfer sefydliad cymhleth gyda phortffolio eiddo defnydd cymysg mawr. Bydd gennych brofiad sylweddol o gyflwyno prosiectau adeiladu mawr a rhaglenni cyfalaf, a sgiliau rheoli rhaglenni a rhaglenni rhagorol. Bydd gennych hanes o ysbrydoli ac arwain timau mawr yn llwyddiannus, rhannu gweledigaeth a mynd â phobl gyda chi yn ystod cyfnod o newid sylweddol. Bydd gennych sgiliau rhyngbersonol a chyfathrebu ardderchog, craffter gwleidyddol, a gallu i ddylanwadu ar ystod eang o randdeiliad hŷn. Nid yw profiad o fewn Addysg Uwch yn hanfodol ond bydd dealltwriaeth o'r amgylchedd y mae prifysgolion yn gweithredu ynddo yn ddefnyddiol.
