Role: HR Manager

Location: London Borough of Merton, SM4

Work pattern: 35 hrs, Mon - Fri, 9-5

Start date: ASAP

End date: 5 month ongoing contract

I'm looking for a highly professional and knowledgeable HR Manager with experience of project management to work within a complex organisation. The purpose of the role will be to provide a professional and comprehensive HR advisory, analytical and consultancy role to deliver a Parking review project. You will contribute to the project and work alongside the Project Officer. You will ensure the delivery of the HR elements of the project on schedule and that it meets the projects aims.

Key Responsibilities

•You will work alongside the Project Officer to deliver the Parking review project.

•You will review essential car user entitlement, work with Employee Relations, Pay and Rewards Manager to negotiate any revised criteria with trade unions.

•You will work with staff and managers across the council to assess job roles and consider/promote alternate ways of working.

•You will assess opportunities for home working and other ways to reduce car use.

•You will maintain communications with staff and managers on project aims, progress and outcomes.

•You will undertake equalities impact assessments where project deliverables impact upon staff.

•You will research and draft committee reports and attend relevant meetings.

Experience/Qualification:

•You will have previous experience working in a modern, progressive human resources role.

•You will have previous experience of project management and project administration.

•You will have graduate membership of the CIPD or equivalent.

•You will have experience of working with trade unions to successfully deliver change.

•You will have proven experience of managing and delivery high quality HR service with up to date knowledge in a diverse workforce, application of UK and EU employment legislation.

•You will be IT literate and have knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel.
