Assembly Fitter
Job Description
We have a number of exciting opportunities for Assembly Fitters to join our team in Bristol.
As a Fitter, you will work as part of an integrated team within the Defence Aerospace Business delivering Production within Development or Repair aerospace engine and module delivery programmes. Also there will be a requirement for balancing activites to be carried out.
You will be working on fitting off engine components and ensuring they meet the repair standards required.

Key Accountabilities:
- Strip and build of engines, modules and accessories.
- Working as part of a team.
- Navigating and understanding repair manuals.
- Section champion roles.
- Good understanding of HS&E.
Skills/Qualifications:
- You will hold a recognised Time-served NVQ level 3 Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
- Ideally working knowledge of aerospace strip and build procedures
- Working experience of aerospace fitting tools and techniques
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Balancing, tip grinding skills
- Risk assessment and COSHH trained
- Computer literate
