The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an Environmental Consultant tasked with supporting our enviable list of private and public sector clients to comply with legal and management system requirements.

This post will be home-based but require some time in our Blackburn-based head office, as well as travel (and some overnight stays) throughout the UK and Ireland.

A typical week could include:

  • Carrying out an environmental legal compliance audit at a client site
  • Supporting a client with implementation of an environmental management system
  • Supporting development and delivery of a training course, workshop or webinar
  • Developing proposals to win work
  • Providing support and guidance to trainee consultants

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject
  • Experience of working in a consultancy surroundings in the environmental field
  • Good working knowledge of environmental legislation and best practice
  • Knowledge of management systems standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 50001
  • Experience of supporting development and delivery of training courses, workshops or webinars
  • Relevant professional environmental qualifications with demonstrable Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Membership of a relevant professional body, such as the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA)
