Senior Systems Engineer - Electronics
A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Systems Engineer to work for a leading Electronics design and manufacturing company in the Tewkesbury area. This Senior Systems Engineer role will be working on a number of new programmes and products being developed for both the UK and international markets.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working on complex systems across the full Systems Engineering lifecycle and have knowledge of requirements management tools like DOORs.

JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities for this role
- Technical Interfacing with customers and suppliers.
- Generation & maintenance of System Engineering Management Plans (SEMP) and associated engineering plans
- Management of the engineering process as defined by the SEMP and business standards
- Coordination & scheduling of Design Reviews
- Ensuring configuration management of product baselines
- Generation & maintenance of engineering estimates & schedules
- Risk & opportunity management
- Collection of Engineering Metrics
- Ensure System Requirements are defined, achievable & testable
- Manage system verification and compliance against System Requirements
- Select optimum solution for System Architecture
Requirements for this role
- Knowledge and experience of systems engineering processes, tools and techniques throughout the system lifecycle
- DOORS knowledge and experience
- Basic team leadership skills or mentoring
- Experience in a customer facing role, dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in an engineering development role in complex embedded systems such as the Defence, Security, Aerospace or Automotive industries.
- Understanding of hardware and RF test equipment
- Project management techniques and principles from an engineering perspective
