Junior UX Designer
Bingley, Bradford, West Yorkshire
£22,000 - £26,000 + 6% Pension + up to 20% Bonus
Our client has an opportunity for a Junior UX Designer to be responsible for supporting the strategic delivery of user research, user interface design, and user testing to transform abstract business problems into elegant, customer-focused solutions. Throughout conceptual, investigative and approval phases, you will consistently advocate for the customer to ensure their new products and services delight the market. Domestic and foreign travel may be required.
What you’ll be doing:
- Facilitate the realization of product visions by researching, sketching, prototyping and user-testing market-winning experiences, optimised for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Execute high-quality user research, including moderated interviews, remote usability tests, ethnographic studies, and other appropriate methodologies.
- Develop concepts in line with technical capabilities, usability standards, and business strategy.
- Successfully visualize both qualitative and quantitative research outputs with the use of standard UX artefacts (e.g. user journey maps, personas, mental models).
- Research and analyze the market to determine the competitive environment.

Skills:
- Experience with standard UX software (e.g. InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, Balsamiq).
- Ability to successfully conduct remote and on-site user testing to gain key insights for product design.
- Ability to visualize research using standard UX artefacts (e.g. user journey maps, personas).
- Ability to extract detailed UX requirements from both internal and external stakeholders, and translate these into elegant, customer-focused product designs.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in digital product development.
- Knowledge of design using mobile-first methodology and principles.
- Knowledge of user-centred design, interaction design, and market testing techniques.
