Senior Biomedical Scientist (Multi-Disciplinary) 

Part time and Permanent Roles. 

An opportunity exists for an experienced HCPC registered part time Senior Biomedical Scientist to join The Doctors Laboratory team. The role is a multi-disciplinary role that includes Biochemistry, Haematology and Blood Transfusion and is based at our laboratory at BMI Mount Alvernia, Guildford. 

Duties to include, sample reception, routine operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation, technical validation, clinical authorisation of results and stock control. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for the supervision of laboratory staff and lead duties in support of the Pathology Lead. The role will include ensuring all practices and procedures are maintained to MHRA & UKAS regulations,. traceability and all audit findings are resolved in a timely manner.
