Architectural Techncian

Exciting opportunity to join my highly successful client as an Architectural Technician / Architectural Project Designer.

The role involves designing and submitting plans to the various brands for full fit outs of commercial units (food and leisure)

The role includes exposure to all stages of the design and build process from concept to completion including monitoring and implementing upgrades of each of the sites at their various 5 ad 10 year interim cycles.

Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing all of the plans and submitting planning applications for both new and existing sites where necessary as well as obtaining brand approval for fit out plans.

This role requires planning and building regulation experience, the ability to make decisions and take responsibility, project management, contract administration and liaising with fast track fit-out contractors.

Current workload includes a continuous program of upgrades as well as new build sites with other retail destinations nationwide.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

It is appreciated that the nature of the work will involve an initial learning curve to familiarise oneself with the design requirements of each of the brands although, the ability to produce drawings using AutoCAD, preparation of specifications and understanding building, construction regulations, and health and safety regulations is an essential requirement.

You will also be visiting sites and be responsible for project management of fast track fit outs and builds.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

EDUCATION:

Typically Degree Qualification, Member of Chartered institute of Building Surveyors/Chartered institute of Building. Architectural 3 years post qualification experience required.

EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES:

• 3D visualization of environments (preferably 3DS Max)
• 2D drawing experience (preferably AutoCAD)
• Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Proficient with Powerpoint.
• Excellent sketching skills
• Driving License desirable but not essential.
• Excellent Communication Skills

SALARY:

GBP35,000 to GBP40,000 depending on experience.
