Shifts (6:00 – 14:30 – 14:00 – 22:00)

We are looking to recruit an experienced “hands on” Transport Administrator, used to working in a busy transport office dealing with own account vehicles and sub-contractors. Working shifts, the Transport Administrator will report directly to the Transport Manager ensuring the safe and timely delivery of orders (approximately 70 loads per day). You will be a Transport Administrator who enjoys working in a friendly team, capable of building strong communication links with other departments. In addition, you will pride yourself on your exceptional customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Transport Reception duties
  • Despatch of delivery notes
  • Processing despatch paperwork
  • Calculating load information
  • Booking of deliveries and collections
  • Assisting drivers with issues relating to deliveries
  • Providing support to customers both in person and over the phone
  • Taking part in asset verification & stock takes
  • Processing invoice paperwork and issuing to the relevant member of the Transport team
  • Pro-active communication with customers relating to deliveries
  • Creating and issuing Transport reports
  • Supporting daily load planning
  • Completion of weekly timesheets for drivers

 

Personal Specification:

 

  • Previous experience working within a data entry and analysis role
  • Previous experience of load planning would be advantageous
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft, Access, Excel and Outlook
  • Proven ability to work accurately with good attention to detail
  • ‘C’ grade Maths and English Language (GCSE or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills, at all levels
  • Good organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Good customer service skills
