Salary: £8,103 + excellent benefits

Contract Type: Full time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, fixed term for one year

We are recruiting for an Apprentice in our Hairdressing and Beauty section to join the team here at the College. The Apprentice will provide services and advice within hairdressing including running a client column.  You will support with reception duties within the salon area, promote retail sales of beauty, hair and make-up products, as well as providing advice to clients and booking appointments.  You will work closely with other staff and learners within the section and wider college to promote the salon, including developing the social media pages and supporting with promotional materials.

The Hairdressing team offers services to both external and internal customers, acting as an ambassador for the College at all times is vital to the position. As well as learning on the job from an experienced team, you will attend a formal training course to ultimately gain a formal Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing.

You will need Level 1 Maths and English and have the ability to work under pressure whilst continuing to provide a customer-focussed approach with a smart appearance and high standards of cleanliness. Ideally with good health and safety awareness and experience in administration/customer service. You will have sound communication and IT skills.
