Our client is looking for a Publishing Editor to join their team in Bingley.
In this role you’d be responsible for supporting a team of Publishers with the management and development of a list of platinum open access journals, via their Publishing Services programme. This involves providing administrative support for a team of Publishers, overseeing the integration of new contracted journals, conducting market research and lead generation activates, and deputising for Publishers in their absence. This role is also responsible for supporting the Head of Open Research with the administration and the delivery of other open access initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing administrative support, such as updating journal homepages; updating product pipeline, working on portfolio analysis and planning reports desk research, taking minutes at OA steering group meetings
  • Support Open Access Publishers in fulfilment of lead generation targets
  • Preparing proposals and annual journal reports
  • Attendance at industry events and promotion of journals
  • Contribution to managing parts of the publishing budget
  • Involvement in project work and other open access programme initiatives
  • Effective cross-functional working to help to achieve Publishing targets
