We are looking to recruit Residential Support Workers to cover shifts on a casual basis.

Grade:  G     Fixed point 20:    £25,295 pro rata per annum (£13.48 per hour)

Springbrook is located in Ainsdale on a small residential estate. We offer pre-planned short breaks to children with learning difficulties where it has been identified as a benefit to both them and their families.

Springbrook offers up to 3 night planned stay on a rolling programme. During children’s stays we offer a variety of activities and opportunities and the chance to experience living away from home and becoming more independent. Children and young people stay together in small groups which are assessed and continually monitored to ensure their individual needs are catered for and they remain as happy as possible.

Children who attend Springbrook have a variety of different learning disabilities and physical and medical complex needs. Some young people do exhibit challenging behaviours and may require significant support to manage this. Some children may require a level of support with intimate personal care. All of which is detailed in their individual Person Centred Placement Plans.

Job requirements: It is an essential requirement of the post that candidates can demonstrate experience of supporting children and young people with learning difficulties and complex needs both in house and whilst out in the community
