LEARNING CENTRE SUPPORT (LCS) MANAGER

Salary: HBC 5, SCP 12 – 17 £21,589 - £23,836 (Term Time pro-rata £17,271 – £19,068)

Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time

We are looking to appoint for September 2019 or sooner if available, a highly motivated and exceptional individual as a Learning Centre Support Manager. Working as part of a team, you will be supporting students to help them overcome barriers to learning, including behaviour.  Duties will include addressing the needs of all pupils but especially those pupils who need particular help with behaviour management. You will also be responsible for facilitating work set by a variety of subject teachers.  

The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of effective behaviour strategies and procedures along with the ability to establish and develop successful working relationships with students in our academy. You will set high expectations of students whilst also encouraging them to make individual progress towards future achievements. You should preferably have experience of behaviour management or of working with students who have a wide range of behavioural and educational needs. There is an expectation to deliver small group and 1-1 teaching in liaison with subject faculty leads l teachers.  The role is therefore ideal for someone who has a teaching qualification however, we will accept applications from people without formal teaching qualifications who have experience of this type of work.
