Description
- The Group Real Estate function is responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of all real property transactions across all business units and functions globally.
- They hold the unique authority to endorse transactions and/or contracts of any nature involving the acquisition, disposition or renewal of property (purchased, sold, leased or otherwise) equalling or exceeding 5,000 sq. ft. and/or leases equalling or exceeding five years.
- Real property includes offices, warehouse space, etc. and all land, but excludes retail service stations, pipeline rights-of-way, redundant contaminated properties
- Build, liaise and maintain working relationships with Property Managers, Legal, Treasury, Finance, Tax, M&A and other support functions to aid and facilitate the delivery of assigned projects.
- Manage all elements of acquisition and disposal of properties with specific responsibility for remediation management projects in EMEA
- Performance manage the external brokers, suppliers, consultants, and agents in the transaction management of the portfolio including new lease requirements, renewals, sub-lettings, lease surrenders and other property matters. Develop and implement corporate real estate best practice.
- Motivate outsourced suppliers to derive optimal performance and results. Support the regional lead in the performance management of the brokers, preparing quarterly management reviews.
Profile
Director of Corporate Real Estate - EMEA
Essential
Recognised commercial Property qualification - e.g. RICS, and/or Estate Management degree or equivalent experience in real estate management
Desirable
- Exceptional strong experience within the property industry and corporate property solutions and industry best practice.
- Diverse and strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Expertise in commercial property practices across EMEA, development, valuation and contracts
- Strong financial skills and understanding of investment principles
- Project Management, design and construction knowledge and expertise experience in the implementation of new ways of working and change management.
