Salary: £35,578.86 - £41,713.98 (inclusive of non-care payments) 

Location: Citywide, Glasgow

Qualified Social Workers are required to support substantial community care assessment and review activity in relation to day and overnight time support. These posts will involve working as part of a project team supporting significant change. 

Applicants must have a knowledge and understanding of statutory requirements, particularly in relation to assessment and care management, within the context of Self Directed Support. 

Applicants should have experience of working in at least one of the following - adult mental health, learning disability, older people, and children with disabilities. Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills are essential, as well as demonstrating the ability to engage with other internal and external agencies at all levels. Applicants must possess a Degree/Diploma in Social Work (or Social Work equivalent) and be able to demonstrate commitment to CPD. Scottish Social Services Council registration within 6 months of taking up post is essential. Successful applicants will be deployed across the Council area. 

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme along with SSC Registration will be essential on taking up appointment. Please not successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks. 

These posts are expected under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2003 (as amended)
