Buyer - Electrical

Our client is a growing and very reputable electrical contractor based in Blackpool. Due to consistent success they are now looking for an experienced electrical buyer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Duties & Responsibilities: As the Buyer your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Procure materials, goods, and services from a variety of Electrical suppliers
• To provide general support and administrative assistance in procurement activities
• Register and clear invoices for Procurement Manager
• Source materials and negotiate best price with Suppliers
• Input orders onto IT system
• Expedite goods and materials
• Updating of materials database and discount database
• Promote efficient and professional impression of the business externally
• Match and clear invoices
• To update the IT system for all new suppliers and subcontractors
• Keep good record of purchases
• Cascade all new projects effectively to our supply chain partners
• Update database with pricing and discounts
• Where required manage meetings with company approved suppliers
• Send supplier pre qualifications to new suppliers
• Expedite documentation, invoices and information from the Supply Chain
• Expedite and chase overdue materials
• Input accurate orders into company systems
• Control documentation for supplier contracts
• When required, assist estimating to receive quotations on time
• Communicate and liaise with site to establish best buying practices
