Do you believe everyone should have a place to call home and the chance to lead a fulfilling life?
HARP is Southend-on-Sea’s homelessness charity, helping over 1,000 people every year who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We provide essential services like food, clothing and washing facilities, as well as emergency and long-term supported housing.
As a charitable registered provider of short term social housing operating in Southend-on-Sea, we believe everyone should have a home of their own although at times individuals may require support from HARP and other agencies to avoid eviction.
A core aim is also to develop and maintain a portfolio of partnerships with private sector landlords, housing associations and local authority housing providers to find lasting homes for service users and our hostels residents.
We currently manage over 200 bed spaces in our emergency and short term hostels and employ over 80 full and part time staff and support 100 volunteers.
We are recruiting a staff member to join our Homeless Prevention services:
The Eviction Prevention & Landlord Liaison Officer is an exciting new role and responsible for providing a highly professional customer focused service to HARP’s residents who are ready to move on and also assist those who are at risk of eviction to support them to sustain their tenancies.
We are looking for a flexible, positive, approachable, friendly, outgoing person with the ability to forge positive working relationships with accommodation providers and our service users.
HARP will provide you with excellent support and training to carry out your role effectively, to develop your career and contribution to our clients and of course the opportunity to work with dedicated colleagues that strive to transform lives.
Our starting benefits package includes 25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays, a contributory pension scheme through The People’s Pension. HARP will make a contribution to the pension and you will also be required to make a contribution.
