Our client is a highly-regarded Kent based solicitor firm, specialising in family law, employment law, commercial property, and residential property. They have an exciting opportunity in their family law team for a Legal Secretary.
The role:
The successful candidate must have experience in the following:
* Experience in Family Law and a working knowledge of Divorce Petition
* Supporting the fee earner within the firm
* Supporting and assisting clients
* Document production including audio typing
* Using Microsoft package where necessary
* Picking up day to day general admin and PA duties including filing and post, email and diary management
* Amending and formatting legal documentation
* Providing support to additional fee earners on an ad hoc basis
* Answering the phones, dealing with enquiries from clients, colleagues and third parties and effectively transferring the information.
* Any other tasks delegated by the Partners and Practice Manager.
The person:
To be successful in your application, you will possess the following attributes
* Proven experience working as a Legal Secretary within Family Law
* Excellent technical skills which include a fast and accurate typing speed a Legal secretarial qualification is desirable
* The ability to manage a busy workload with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
* Good communication skills and a confident, friendly and outgoing manner both over the phone and in person
* Attention to detail
