GBP44.14 per hour
Our client is looking for an experienced Group Leader Plans, Policies and Place Making.
This contract is for a 5 month period initially, starting from 8th July 2019 and maybe extended depending on the success of a permanent recruitment process.
The focus is on day to day general management of the three teams within the Plans, Policy and Place Making section. Overseeing the production of the draft Local Plan that is due to go to consultation in July. Ensuring that programme timelines are being met in Economic Development and Regeneration.
• To lead the Plans, Policies and Place Making Group to prepare, implement and review the Council's statutory and non-statutory plans and policies to achieve sustainable development, regeneration, economic development and the conservation and enhancement of the built and natural heritage of the Borough
• To advise upon the implications of new legislation, policy guidance and initiatives advanced by other bodies and agencies
• Delivery of an effective and appropriate service to all service users, fairly and without discrimination. Prospective candidates need to have substantial recent experience of working in Local Government at this level.
