What will you be doing?Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be part of a small team specialising in the repair & maintenance of fleet vehicles ranging from company cars, car derived vans and light commercial vehicles up to a maximum of 5 tonne gross vehicle weight. In addition, you will also be responsible for the maintenance of ancillary equipment for which training will be provided. Working to predetermined service & inspection schedules within the workshop, you will maintain both paper & electronic maintenance records. The role will require occasional work outdoors and provide support to other in-house workshops.
This role is based in Etton, Peterborough.
You will need extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of light commercial vehicles and possess a City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent qualification in light commercial vehicle mechanics. Service orientated and with a high regard for safety and quality, you'll be adaptable and responsive to the varying needs of our operators. You should have excellent communication and organisation skills and be IT literate or willing to learn.
A full UK driving licence is essential. If you are offered the role, the status of your driving licence may be checked.
