We are recruiting for an experienced an Injection Mould Supervisor to work for a prestigious manufacturing organisation located in the Keighley, West Yorkshire area.
THE DUTIES:
* Select, train and carry out assessment of Senior Setters, Setters and Operators, ensuring correct knowledge, skills and flexibility are in place to meet requirements in line with set targets.
* Ensure that company operating disciplines, practices, procedures and documentation are understood and maintained across shift, to assure product quality and efficiencies.
* Ensure any issues affecting, or likely to affect product quality are investigated and dealt with immediately to ensure minimum disruption to production and ensure any issues are not passed onto the customer.
* Ensure SPC controls are in place and out of control situations are acted upon and resolution actions are recorded.
* Contact assigned mould shop quality engineer for assistance in any issues outside of this remit where the potential for customer impact exists.
* To lead local problem solving teams within the shift to resolve problems following structured proven techniques and drive action plans for resolution of issues.
* Ensure all preventative maintenance plans for own area are carried out on time, and machinery and equipment is maintained in optimum condition, to give consistent results within specifications.
* To promote good communications at all levels, ensuring prompt delivery of Team Briefs, line meetings, kaizen activities and supporting works council.
* To ensure full commitment and support for training, communications, health and safety, housekeeping and personal discipline liaising with HR department for support and guidance.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
* H.N.C. or equivalent in Mechanical or Production Engineering is desirable.
* At least 2 years supervisory experience in a similar high volume high quality manufacturing environment is required.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Relevant people management, organisational and technical skills gained in a similar position are desirable.
THE HOURS:
You will work a days shift pattern (Monday to Friday) 8am to 4.45pm.
THE PACKAGE:
You will be paid a salary of GBP26,000 to GBP30,000 per annum, (depending on experience), plus outstanding benefits
