Lecturer in Automotive Technologies
Full-time | Permanent | £23,001 - £33,018 per annum

We are seeking a lecturer to teach theoretical knowledge in Automotive Technology up to Level 3. The successful candidate will;
- plan and deliver theory sessions including marking and assessing learner work
- be ICT competent in Microsoft Office and have knowledge of Google Apps
- have excellent organisational and communication skills
- work efficiently and effectively in an automotive environment
- comply with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements
- use and communicate technical information
- work towards, or have an Internal Verifier qualification.
It would be advantageous/desirable if the successful applicant had some motorcycle repair experience as well.
The candidate will need to demonstrate high levels of flexibility in their delivery and be able to adapt their teaching for all levels in the automotive curriculum area. They will also take ownership, manage and act as a tutor for students on full time, apprenticeship programmes, and have an understanding of the assessment processes.
In addition, the successful candidate will prepare teaching materials and practical exercises in line with the syllabus and in conjunction with others, and will be able to work well as part of a team and be able to embed Functional Skills within their delivery. They will also need to be enthusiastic, innovatively creative, and committed to the continuing development of students.
The successful candidate will act as a personal tutor to students, working on a one to one basis with students; recording and monitoring student attendance.
