Leading manufacturer based in the Bradford area are looking to recruit an ambitious HSE Advisor qualified to NEBOSH Certificate level. This is a strong opportunity to work for a market leading specialist focusing on operational Health & Safety delivery. The company is very well established and work on a global level with an exceptional reputation.
You will ideally have worked within a manufacturing or engineering environment and should have exposure to fabrication, assembly or process production, however candidates with experience in other fields and a strong ambition to work within manufacturing will also be considered. You should have experience of driving HSE throughout companies and be able to influence people's behaviour. The role will be focused on inspections, risk assessments, organising training, delivering inductions and assisting with the maintenance of ISO Standards including 9001, 14001 and 18001.
The HSE Advisor will get involved with the investigation of HSE accidents/incidents and the reporting of any relevant data within the department. You will head up the HSE committee for factory and office and be responsible for chairing, recording and producing accurate minutes.
Key requirements for the role are:
Prior experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing or Production environment although candidates with exposure to civil engineering, construction, marine, oil & gas and mining amongst others will be considered
Exposure to Health & Safety delivery in both a workshop and office space
Educated to NEBOSH General Certificate level as a minimum
Knowledge and experience of auditing to 9001, 14001 and 18001 ISO Standards
Experience of incident and dangerous occurrence investigation
Strong IT and Communication skills
This is an excellent role for someone working at HSE Advisor, HSE Assistant or H&S Officer level to progress their career reporting directly into the HSE Manager. The role comes with a basic salary up to GBP26k and an excellent opportunity for development with a strong plan in place for additional training paid for by the company
