Adecco are recruiting a Manufacturing Technician to work in the biotech industry that is scientific in nature by following established protocols and instructions in an ISO regulated environment. You will be required to demonstrate understanding of safe working practice in a laboratory environment operating semi-automated and automated lab equipment.
This is a temporary role starting ASAP and will run until the end of June 2019 with possibility of going permanent.
Pay rate - GBP10.72 per hour
Shifts:
Monday to Thursday either 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm
Friday 6am -1pm or 10.30am -6.30pm
Backshift hours will honour an extra GBP48 per week
37.5 hours per week
Main duties:
-Perform in-process testing to assure batches meet specification
-Demonstrate knowledge in the use of basic lab techniques and basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word and Excel
-Update various Production/QC reports and spreadsheets. Move paperwork to proper location after completion of an operation
-Demonstrate good time management resulting in efficiency
-Demonstrate a good work ethic and exhibit a positive attitude
-Take responsibility and be accountable for actions
-May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned
Working Conditions:
Works in a team based laboratory environment. Is required to lift up to 20 lbs. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials. Must be able to work overtime and be flexible as job consists of shift work.
Suitable candidates will have previous laboratory/manufacturing experienced within a fast paced environment.
