GBP26,139 to GBP30,333 plus benefits which include 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays and a 21.8% employer contribution in to pension
Salary offered will be dependent on skills/experience and qualification level
Great HR opportunity to join a well-respected firm who are looking to recruit an additional HR professional.
You will provide advice, support and guidance to managers through the provision and delivery of high quality, modern effective HR services. In addition, you will maintain active, effective links with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally who seek support from their HR service and ensure the HR service provides innovative solutions.
Ideally you will have experience of working at an HR Business Partner or similar level in a complex, challenging, unionised environment.
Your responsibilities will include;
* Providing effective people related solutions and recommendations, leading to ownership by managers and effective resolution.
* Support in dealing with; sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance issues including the organising and participating in case conferences and the arrangement of formal review meetings and hearings.
* Advising, training and coaching client line managers in the effective application of HR policies and procedures.
* Assisting in policy development and monitoring.
* Developing line manager skills, knowledge and confidence to enable them to lead in all areas of people management activity including recruitment, disciplinary, absence and performance management;
* Ensuring health and safety issues are identified and addressed.
* Contributing to the production of business plans and HR strategies.
* Providing advice and guidance on E/D issues effecting the recruitment and retention of staff.
* Work with and build constructive relationships with relevant Trade Unions.
* Designing and delivering workshops on HR topics such as Performance Appraisals, Absence Management, Investigation.
You will enjoy being part of a friendly HR team, be able to offer a solution-based approach to problem solving, possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to travel between locations effectively
