Driver Hire are looking to recruit a Class 2 & 7.5T driver for our client based in Newton Abbot. This is a temp to perm position which will fill a full time vacancy within their company.
About to job:
Based from their depot in Newton Abbot, you will be given a range of rounds to allow you to build up your knowledge of the region & the customers.
You'll collected your pre-loaded vehicle each day, make up to 30 drops to customers & deliver premium cooking oil & collecting the old & used oil. Whilst on site, you will calculate billing & rebate values, record quantities, take signatures & take payments from the clients. You will then return to the depot each day to be emptied & cleaned by the depot team.
This is a Monday to Friday role & on average, a 45 hour working week.
Pay package:
* GBP25,459.20 basic salary.
* Bonus of up to GBP2,860.00 per year
* Pension.
* BUPA medical cash plan.
* Life assurance.
* 20 days holiday which increases with length of service.
Job requirements:
* Experience of high volume multi-drop & collections.
* Customer service skills.
* The ability to drive a 7.5 tonne (Cat C1) LGV or Class 2 (Cat C) HGV vehicle without any DR10 or IN10 (or equivalent) licence offence codes.
* No more than 6 penalty points.
* Experience with Digi Tacho cards is a must.
* Driver Qualification Card or completion of at least 28 hours CPC training.
This role involves moving & carrying weights in excess of 20kgs, we provide manual handling training & medical screenings to successful candidates.
