Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant

Acorn Architectural Ironmongery in Cambridge, are currently looking to recruit a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant, the right candidate needs to be an enthusiastic individual that can work as part of a team to ensure accuracy and time efficiency to meet the clients requirements.

Duties to include but not limited to:-

Delivering to construction sites and colleges mainly in East Anglia and London

Pick customers orders as per company process, undertaking all necessary controls and making goods available for dispatch

Packing and dispatching outgoing orders, into door sets as company schedules

Assist with regular stock takes

Work with team to ensure the workplace environment is always maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, taking care of both your own health and safety and that of others especially when delivering to site, ensure all packing is disposed of safely and in line with company processes.

The successful candidate will be/have:

Over the age of 25 due to insurance purposes.

Hold a valid driving licence

Experience in working in a warehouse environment would be an advantage although training will be given.

Basic computer knowledge

Attention to detail and great communication, both verbal and written.

Ability to plan and prioritise workload

Smart in appearance
