Due to continued expansion, we are now looking for a Supplier Assurance Technologist to join our dedicated team in Hetton-le-Hole.

Your Role
 
As a Supplier Assurance Technologist, you’ll provide a high level of support to our Technical functions.
 
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will:
 
- Liaise with suppliers and have an understanding of the importance of strong supplier relationships to the business
- Maintain technical information systems relevant to the company’s supplier approval processes, including GFSI certification, SAQs and organic, Halal and Kosher certification schemes as may be relevant
- Review documentation relating to raw material specifications, including HACCP, food safety, HARA, vulnerability and TACCP/VACCP using online data storage and retrieval systems
 
About You
 
To join us as a Supplier Assurance Technologist, you’ll need:
 
- Experience in a technical and/or specifications role within the food or related industry
- A Food Technology, Science or related qualification, ideally degree level
- Preferably 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience of HACCP principles
- Strong organisational skills
- A professional attitude and the ability to follow through on information requests and projects to completion
