Salary: £23,000 to £23,500 p.

Job Type: Full Time, Perm

The Company is the leading provider of experiences on the River Thames, carrying in excess of 3 million people annually on its extensive sightseeing, entertainment and charter services. Based at Cherry Garden Pier, they operate 16 revenue earning passenger-carrying boats, along with a small fleet of support vessels and barges.

Key Responsibilities

Product Planning and Management

  • Manage and communicate regular competitor analysis and benchmarking
  • Manage relationships with key voucher/gifting and attraction partners
  • Create product and delivery plans for each London product
  • Manage the process from product planning through to successful launch
  • Assist with creating any descriptive copy and images to support Marketing
  • Become the business expert and owner for all of company's products liaising with other internal teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Prepare and communicate all product information for system loading and training according to seasonal schedule
  • Load products and product details on new bespoke booking system
  • Create and communicate product specifications for each of the London products and manage the delivery against these specifications
  • Through your relationships with other departments including Sales and Marketing, Call Centre, IT and Operations influence and manage the successful delivery of the product
  • Produce weekly reports detailing Trading performance of products, identifying key trends and any areas of concern
  • Produce regular quantitative and qualitative summaries on the customer satisfaction of each product from all available sources including (Trip Advisor, Feefo, direct feedback)

Pricing and Revenue Management

  • Track volume and revenue by date by product, adjusting distribution caps and pricing on day-to-day basis
  • Optimise product availability and prices at all times via strong links with Operations and Sales & Marketing teams
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to increase revenue/margins
  • Develop an understanding of booking intake profiles and customer behaviour by distribution channel as a valuable input into pricing decisions
  • Provide recommendations on a tactical basis on the use of higher cost distribution channels such as Vouchers and Gifting, managing the creation, administration and delivery of any offers
  • Assess market and competitor product on an ongoing basis to support in tactical availability and pricing actions
  • Monitor and record environmental factors that influence demand on such as daily weather, large events, exchange rates, promotional activities

Product Promotions

  • Assess trading trends to determine weekly tactical and more strategic priorities ensuring delivery of the plan. Communicate these to ensure effective promotion of the right product at the right time
  • Liaise with Sales & Marketing to ensure specified products are pro-actively marketed to both consumer and trade and results are recorded
  • Monitoring of Gifting and Voucher partners websites to ensure accurate product presentation
  • Secure tactical offers from 3rd party partners to drive tactical campaigns and ancillary product campaigns
  • Build strong links with the Call Centre, providing fast turnaround to any queries and supporting any training requirements
  • Advise Marketing regarding website presentation of your products
  • Produce and distribute briefing documents for all company products

Key Requirements

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent within a business discipline
  • Experience working in a Leisure, Travel/Tourism company (advantageous)
  • Experience working within a data and trend analysis environment (advantageous)
  • Analytical and numerate
  • Commercially minded
  • Highly motivated with strong initiative
  • Flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to react calmly in a pressurised situation
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to prepare effective briefing documents and presentations, where necessary
  • Ability to influence and build strong business partnerships within and outside the organisation
  • Excel intermediate / PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SQL and or/building pivot tables (advantageous)
  • Competency in report creation and presentation
  • Promote strong team ethics
