esure has a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll/HR Services Assistant to join our HR department on a fixed term contract until December 2019. This is a full-time role based in our Glasgow city centre office.

Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Perform timely and accurate preparation of monthly multi-site payroll to the payroll provider
  • Carry out calculations including but not limited to, final holiday pay, maternity pay, change of hours, Company and Statutory Sick Pay, and any other ad hoc requests
  • Assist with the monthly reconciliations of payroll data
  • Provide accurate payroll information to the business as and when required, ensuring all data requests are approved
  • Liaise with the payroll provider on behalf of employees and other 3rd Parties regarding any payroll related information requests
  • Assist with a variety of ad hoc internal and external audits

HR Services

  • Monitor the mailboxes and HR Services helpline, responding to all employee queries in a timely manner and within SLA
  • Responsible for all Human Resources activities including the accurate inputting to the HR and Payroll database of absence, new starters, leavers, benefits and all other changes
  • Administer the recruitment process, including compilation of employment contracts and Day one inductions, ensuring all new starts satisfy esure's vetting requirements which include credit checks, referencing and criminal records checks; liaising with the 3rd party provider to ensure timely completion
  • Liaise with 3rd Party suppliers in relation to payroll, recruitment and benefits, including HMRC for any statutory requirements
  • Administer all benefits applications ensuring accuracy and consistency between the HR and Payroll database and benefit providers
  • Responsible for the processing and maintaining of all HR documentation
  • Ensure letters relating to salary reviews, contract changes, etc are issued in a timely manner

Experience

  • Ideally at least 2 years payroll experience in a similar role
  • Educated to GCSE/Standard grade level or equivalent which must include English & Mathematics
  • Because of the high workload and fast paced environment, time management skills are essential
  • PC literate with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access
  • Good communication skills, both spoken and written are essential as is accuracy and attention to detail
  • Numerate, and has the ability to process and analyse data is essential

Hours: Monday -Friday, 9am to 5pm
