Deputy SENCo - MPW Cambridge

Salary: £29,000 - £36,000 FTE

Permanent position – Full Time/Part Time MPW Cambridge is a leading independent college in the country.

Offering GCSE and A level courses and rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted in all areas, we accept up to 240 students each year.

MPW is an inclusive college which prides itself on identifying, assessing and meeting the needs of all SEND students to allow them to meet their full potential. Building on well-established and thorough systems for tracking and supporting SEND pupils, we are seeking to appoint a Deputy SENCo who will work closely with the Assistant Principal and our Senior Management Team to provide outstanding SEND support across our college.

Our preferred candidate will be someone with energy and integrity who is dedicated to ensuring every pupil succeeds and gets the support they need. The post holder will play a key role in ensuring that students with SEND are screened and assessed effectively and that their progress is monitored.

The post holder will work with the Assistant Principal to ensure that SEND students’ needs are met through provision of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), mirroring of final exams Access Arrangements in weekly supervised timed assignments and delivery of bespoke support sessions as required. This post will also include additional responsibilities within the college; for example, running bespoke support sessions for SEND students and organising study skills surgeries. Additional responsibilities will depend on the specific skillset of the chosen candidate.

The position can either be full time or part time.
