Our client is a leader in the consumer electronics industry

Purpose of the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the UK Legal and Compliance Team in its day to day operations. This is a general commercial paralegal role covering sales and marketing business. The role is mainly non-contentious, although there may be some contentious work.

We are recruiting for a paralegal role which is broad in nature. The role involves tasks such as report generation, research, document management, reviewing and amending legal documents (with Supervision) and supporting each member of the legal team.

What will be your key deliverables?

You will be expected to (with adequate supervision where required):-

Work alongside the Legal Counsel as the key legal support for the facilities, customer service and

finance teams.

Prepare monthly reports for the Finance & Service divisions on recent legal updates.

Prepare and present training to the legal team on key legal and sector updates.

Take responsibility for maintaining the Samsung legal precedents and consider any changes to be

made to reflect new legislation and case law.

Draft and negotiate various service agreements and documents, contribute to conference calls and

attend face to face meetings throughout the business.

Provide support to the Data Protection Manager in connection with data protection matters such as

responding to data subject access requests and responding to requests from regulatory bodies.

Responsible for drafting and negotiating a broad range of agreements and legal documents

including:

* service agreements;

* residential lease agreements

* terms and conditions;

* policies and guidelines;

* licence agreements;

* letters of authority;

* commercial lease agreements;

* non-disclosure agreements;

* loan agreements;

* consumer letters; and

* privacy notices.

Undertaking compliance due to diligence checks of all new vendors registered through the procurement team.

Maintaining a document management system for residential lease agreements in addition to reviewing and drafting the same.

Responsible for acting as the first point of contact for the product liability team in relation to ad-hoc product liability issues and liaising with external counsel in relation to any product liability claims.

Advice on a broad range of legal matters including

* commercial terms;

* data protection;

* warranties;

* product liability and consumer claims;

* financial terms; and

* residential lease issues

* Highly literate in Micrsoft word, Excel and Powerpoint
