We are working with an 1800-acre family farm as they look for an Agriculture Graduate to join their team. The farm is based near Stamford and consists of three separate farms that are all based within five miles of each other.
The farm itself crops wheat, barley, oilseed rape and some land is rented out for potatoes. There is also a bio-mass wood chip heating system, field solar panels and various rentals.
Your responsibilities would involve farm work including drilling, spraying, cultivations, fertiliser spreading, grass topping and hedge trimming. There would also potentially be some combining work available.
We are looking for candidates who have a degree or equivalent in Agriculture or a related subject. You will also have your PA1 and PA2 certificates. Some basic farm work experience is essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity that would be hugely beneficial to those looking to develop their farming career. There are plenty of opportunities for the right candidate to learn on the farm, including the opportunity to be out through your FACTS & BASIS qualifications.
