This is an exciting opportunity to join the Security Team within Estate Management as a Patroller. Our Security Team is essential to the care and safety of our historic University buildings and the post holder will act as an important member of the Security Team to ensure the smooth running of our daily operation.
The successful candidate will undertake duties within the Security Control Centre and be responsible for delivering a range of security services. The role holder will perform patrols of the University estate and respond to incidents and security alarms efficiently and effectively.
The post holder must be enthusiastic and flexible with good literacy and communication skills as well as the ability to remain calm in difficult situations. Possession of a full clean Driving Licence is required for this role to drive University vehicles. Previous experience in security operations would be an advantage, although not essential.
This role incorporates shift work and the role holder will be required to work unsociable hours and weekends. An additional supplement of approximately 25% of salary will therefore apply to this position.
