Transport Planner

A leading UK supply chain company is looking for a Transport Planner based in Faversham. There is a competitive salary plus premiums for weekend and unsocial hours working for the right candidate.

The role: 

• Dedicated to executing the most cost effective and service efficient plan possible
• Ensuring forward planning for all contracts in relation to driver’s rotas
• Driver’s hour’s management including working with agency providers to ensure forward planning is maximised and maintained to cover peak and holiday requirements
• Ensure that all work is covered and that it complies with current legislation and Company rules/guidelines

The Candidate:

Applicants will have a flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns to facilitate operational requirements, including weekend working to meet the demands of our operation.

• Previous experience of working in a Transport Department would be an advantage

Additional Information:

• This is a night role working on a rotational shift pattern
• This role requires weekends and Bank Holiday working
• Overtime working may be required.
• This role requires a flexible approach both to hours and duties
• Own transport is preferable
