Our client is one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the country, offering over 1000 courses to over 26,000 students every year.
Joining them as a Premises Security Officer, you will support the Premises Managers and Premises Security Supervisor with a range of tasks associated with basic safety, security and premises support work of the College estate, Staff, Students and Visitors. They currently have two opportunities available.
Acting as a key holder for College premises and ensuring buildings are available for access, you will carry out static guard and mobile patrol duties in and around the College estate and staff the control room to monitor operations and CCTV systems.
Providing assistance with and investigating and reporting incidents, you must act as a trainer and mentor for security officers employed by the college and provide a cash in transit service; ensuring safe evacuation of College premises on activation of the fire alarm and administering the booking in procedure for contractors and visitors.
Candidates for these roles must have previous security related experience and an SIA licence (or working towards, Manned Guarding and CCTV). With a background of working in a customer centered environment and the ability to prioritise workload and organise your work schedule, you should have good communication skills and be able to undertake minor repairs (handyperson skills)
Security Officer working a three-shift system - 06:00 – 14:00 , 08:30 – 16.30 , 13.30 – 21.30
