Transport Operator
Gist are looking for an experienced Transport Operator based in Motherwell. As a Transport Operator, you will assist with the organisation and support the control of the transport resources ensuring the delivery of a high quality and cost-efficient service to customers. An attractive salary of £23000.00 to £25000.00 pa pro-rata is being offered to the right candidate.

The Role:
- Work with customers to meet current and anticipated requirements to enable the Site to achieve service expectations.
- Address customer concerns immediately and escalate where appropriate in a timely manner.
- Manage transport resources in line with operational and budgetary requirements including shift rota management to maintain service levels.
- Plan and manage operational resources to optimise the utilisation of labour and equipment to effectively manage forecasted volumes.
- Ensure effective communication links between colleagues and other shifts to ensure operational consistency.
- Drive high standards and flag opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure effective communication levels are met at all times with key stakeholders
- Proven track record of being an integral support in managing a transport department.
- Proven understanding of working in a multi customer centric operation.
- Proven track record in planning operational resources to optimise the utilisation of labour and equipment.
- Proven track record of working in and contributing to a continuous improvement environment.
- In-depth knowledge of driver’s rules and regulations and WTD.
