Electrical/C&I Craftsperson

Energy Infrastructure are recruiting for an Electrical/C&I Craftsperson at First Hydro Company, Dinorwig and Ffestiniog Power Stations in North Wales.

This is a 24 months temporary, full time role working 39 hours per week.

On offer is a competitive salary circa £32k and benefits package. The key accountabilities for this role are as follows:

  • Maintain critical control, instrumentation and electrical power station plant and equipment through routine preventative and breakdown maintenance
  • Update records and reports of maintenance activities and plant history (works management system)
  • Perform fault diagnosis on complex plant and equipment to resolve problems and offer solutions to control, instrumentation and electrical issues and challenges
  • Carry out plant modifications, control, instrumentation and electrical installations, inspection, testing and certification on plant and equipment
  • Liaise with other teams in production performance issues in order to ensure continuity and safe and effective handover of work
  • Hold safety responsibilities under Company Safety Rules to meet legislative requirements for safe systems of work
  • Meet the company’s requirements in areas of relevant discipline of work, consistent with Quality, health safety and environmental policies and practices • Ensure maintenance is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures and standards As a minimum, all applicants should possess knowledge and experience of:
  • Maintaining heavy electrical plant and equipment • Maintaining control and instrumentation equipment
  • Current EH&S legislation, company procedures and practices
  • Basic rigging and lifting operations
  • IT skills sufficient to populate a maintenance management system

The successful candidate should demonstrate flexibility, where extended and additional hours working may be required at peak workload times; be self-motivated and a good team worker.

For this role applicants must have served a recognised apprenticeship with a minimum qualification of a City and Guilds level 3 or equivalent technical qualification in a relevant Electrical/C&I field.
